* Case Studies *
On this page I will be adding page links to different horses hooves that I am currently working with to Correct & Rehabilitate. Horses with hooves that have severe lameness & common hoof pathologies will be listed here. I will take photos during each trimming visit so we can see the rehabilitation process as time goes by.
Anyone interested in finding out more about any of these horses individual problems or get contact information to talk with the owners, just send and e-mail requesting info & it will be sent to you!

Case #2: Foundered Hooves

This old Paint Mare is suffering from founder & attacks of laminitis in all four hooves. She has been this way for a long time. She would shuffle along in short stiff strides, and was in a lot of pain. All of her hooves would rock back on the heels when walking as she tried to relieve her pain. The sole of the hooves had abcessed and created blood seromas within the sole. The whiteline was stretched & separated with old pockets of blood from the dieing, tearing & stretching that occured in the laminae.

This mare had an old coronary band laceration with a quarter crack running through her hoof. Her heels were extreemly high & contracted. She also had a bad case of sulcus thrush. Her right front hoof was becoming deformed. Her hooves were in bad shape and in desperate need of a trim. The mare would limp severely when asked to trot, and would not do so on her own out in the pasture.
